The Politics and Governance Laboratory (LPTP)

The Politics and Governance Laboratory (LPTP) is a unit under the auspices of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences. This unit was established and determined based on the Regulation of the Chancellor of Brawijaya University Number 40 of 2022.  

Vision

We are making the Politics and Governance Laboratory (LPTP) a supporting institution for education and training, research, and professional community service within the scope of Public Administration.

Mission

We are contributing to the development of governance and development.

History

The faculty formed the laboratory to answer the government's need to obtain research support and data related to governance. This unit determined based on the Dean's Decree Number 7 of 2014 regarding the Organizational Structure and Work Procedure of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya, and in article 19 related to the duties and functions of the laboratory are: 1. Tasks Carry out knowledge development activities as a support for the implementation of the duties of the department/study program 2. Function a. Knowledge Assessment and Development through research and learning practice.

The Governance Laboratory Faculty of Administrative Sciences has six Laboratory Sub Units with each focus, including Public Policy & Development Planning Laboratory (LKP3), Politics & Governance Laboratory (LPTP), Organizational Development & Public Service Management Laboratory (LPOMP), Library & Archives Laboratory (FMRC), Digital & Dynamic Governance Laboratory (DigiGov Lab), Educational Administration Technology Laboratory (LTPA).

Following the Regulation of the Chancellor of Universitas Brawijaya Number 40 of 2022, it is decided that the laboratories under the auspices of the Governance Laboratory should stand alone and no longer be a sub-unit of the Governance Laboratory. The Politics and Governance Laboratory (LPTP) was established and operated directly under the auspices of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya.
