Computer Access Faculty of Administrative Sciences

The Faculty of Administrative Sciences (FIA) Universitas Brawijaya has provided internet facilities that can be accessed by FIA students through access Wirreless Fidelity (WIFI) in all areas of FIA UB environment. As an illustration, UB has built a total internet network bandwidth currently it is 300MB. Of the 300MB, 120MB is allocated for servers network, while 180MB is used by users throughout UB, including students, lecturers, and UB staff.

To speed up internet access, FIA has also built and developed its own internet network. It was recorded that until May 2013, the FIA had built 6 (six) points hot spot in building A, 13 (thirteen) points hot spot in building B, and 2 (two) points hot spot in building C. Based on the survey, a total of 21 (twenty one) points hot spot it can be used by 500 (five hundred) gadgets, laptops, and computers on line everyday. In this way, the FIA academic community, including FIA UB students, can use internet facilities to easily and quickly access information and various educational and teaching needs.

Apart from that, the FIA also has a computer laboratory (PKPMSI computer lab) located in Center for Research and Development of Information Systems Management which can be used generally by FIA UB students, especially for courses that require integrated learning using computer tools. The use of computers in this laboratory is also very useful, especially during academic registration activities related to programming courses that will be taken on line.
