FIA UB Inaugurates Collaboration with the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas

Today, the Dean of FIA UB Drs. Andy Fefta Wijaya, MDA., Ph.D officially signed a cooperation agreement between the work unit he leads and the Ministry of National Development Planning (PPN)/Bappenas. The agreement includes cooperation that can support the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, including apprenticeships and MBKM for students and the implementation of training for functional positions for ASN in planning agencies at the central and regional levels. Present at the activity were the Secretary of the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, the Head of the HR Bureau of the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, and the Chancellor of Brawijaya University.

The Ministry of National Development Planning is responsible for formulating policies, programs and national development plans for the medium and long term. In the formulation process, universities such as Brawijaya University can act as strategic partners in providing relevant data, research, analysis and recommendations to support national development planning. Universities can also involve students and lecturers in research that focuses on national development issues. In addition, the Ministry of National Development Planning can work with universities to encourage research that is relevant to national development priorities, such as research on renewable energy, food security, information technology, health, and other sectors that are the focus of national development.
