UB and Universiti Malaya Explore Strategic Academic Collaboration to Advance Global Education

The Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Administrative Science at Universitas Brawijaya continues to strengthen its global engagement through a recent visit to Universiti Malaya. The meeting focused on exploring strategic collaboration opportunities aimed at enhancing academic excellence, research productivity, and international student mobility.

The Universitas Brawijaya (UB) delegation was led by Dr Agung Nugroho Luthfi Imam Fahrudi, Secretary of the Department of Business Administration, accompanied by Dr Moh. Said (Vice Dean III for Student Affairs), Langgeng Setyono, and Detha Alfrian Fajri. They were warmly received by Associate Prof. Dr. Norizah Binti Mohd Mustamil and Dr Muhamad Faizal Bin Zulkifli from the Department of Management & Marketing, Faculty of Business and Economics, Universiti Malaya.

During the meeting, both institutions discussed a range of potential collaborations, including student exchange programs, joint research initiatives, and international joint publications. These efforts are expected to create meaningful academic synergies, allowing students and faculty members to engage in cross-border learning and collaborative research addressing global challenges.

In addition, Universitas Brawijaya introduced the Brawijaya International Student Scholarship and invited qualified students from Universiti Malaya to apply. This initiative reflects UB’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and globally diverse academic environment while attracting high-achieving international students.

Beyond academic and research collaboration, both parties also explored the possibility of organizing international community service programs. This initiative aims to integrate academic knowledge with real-world societal impact, particularly in addressing community development issues across countries.

This collaborative initiative is part of Universitas Brawijaya’s broader commitment to supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 on Quality Education. By strengthening international partnerships, both institutions contribute to improving access to quality education and promoting global knowledge exchange.

The visit marks a promising step toward long-term collaboration between Universitas Brawijaya and Universiti Malaya. Both parties expressed optimism that these discussions will soon materialize into concrete programs that benefit students, academics, and the wider community at an international level.
