Share to:

The Public Administration Masters Program held a guest lecture which presented guest lecturers from Takushoku University Japan, Prof. Fujimoto Koji, Friday (28/8). The event was held in the classrooms of Building C, 3rd Floor and was attended by 17 new students enrolled in the Double Degree program with the Japanese university. At the guest lecture, Koji shared his insights and experience in establishing regional or national development cooperation with the World Bank (World Bank). According to Koji, there are six steps that must be taken if a development plan is to be funded by the World Bank. The first is to do Project Identification. In this stage, the local or central government needs to identify which sectors need to be developed by looking at the development plans for the next five years, sectoral analysis reports, and master plan the area.

After successfully identifying what projects to undertake, the government needs to make preparations, one of which is by holding a feasibility test (feasibility study). Then, the results of the preparatory steps will be followed up by doing appraisals (assessment) and board presentation, namely the presentation before the directors of the World Bank. According to Koji, the team from the government will have to explain directly to the board of directors of the World Bank why the development project is feasible. From this, if the board of directors approves the proposal, then the project will be carried out at the stage Project Implementation and followed by Project Post Evaluation, namely the evaluation of development results carried out after the project has been completed.
