FGD on Updating the Curriculum of the Doctoral Program, Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Brawijaya University

Malang, November 30, 2024. The Doctoral Program of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences has carried out activities Focus Group Discussions (FGD) in the framework of Updating the Doctoral Program Curriculum. This activity was held on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at the Santika Hotel, and was attended by the Heads of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences (FIA), Chair and Vice Chair of the Department of Administrative Sciences, Chair and Vice Chair of the Doctoral Program in Administrative Sciences, Chair and Vice Chair of the Doctoral Program in Administration, Jakarta Campus and lecturers in charge of the doctoral program. In addition, this activity was also attended by alumni, representatives of alumni users and active students of the doctoral program who were speakers at this FGD activity.

 

The speaker presented was Prof. Dr. dr.Loeki Enggar Fitri, M. Kes., SpParK, with the material presented related to the Curriculum Evaluation Process. He said that based on Law Number 12 of 2012 and Permenristek Number 44 of 2015, - The higher education curriculum is a set of plans and regulations regarding the objectives, content, and teaching materials as well as the methods used as guidelines for organizing learning activities to achieve the objectives of Higher Education. In developing the curriculum, it is necessary to pay attention to the development of Science, Technology, and Arts/IPTEKS (Scientific Vision), community needs (societal needs) and the needs of graduate users (stakeholder needs).

The second speaker is one of the lecturers in the Doctoral Program, namely Agung Nugroho Luthfi Imam Fahrudi, SAB., M.Bus.Sys.Pro., Ph.D, who delivered material related to the Preparation of Graduate Learning Outcomes. He conveyed the competencies that graduates must have, namely the ability to make decisions or appropriate solutions using critical thinking and problem-solving skills, the ability to use various communication media competently, the ability to demonstrate responsibility and ethics in carrying out professional and scientific tasks in the field of administrative science.

The next activity was continued with a discussion activity with alumni, alumni users and students. Based on these activities, it can be concluded that the role of stakeholder participation is very large, so collaboration is needed to achieve common goals, especially in the context of curriculum development.
