Malang, July 3 2024 – Rakha Hafish Setiawan, student of the Library Science study program, Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Brawijaya University (FIA UB), class of 2020, managed to graduate on time by holding a different final exam than usual. Unlike FIA students in general who carry out comprehensive trials with presentations, Rakha conducted a dissemination exam at the Swiss-Bellin Hotel to present her final project product. This exam scheme is also the first to be applied by the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Brawijaya University.

Using the qualitative research method of prototyping, Rakha prepared a final assignment entitled "Design and Realization of an Integrated Relative Humidity Stability Assessment Tool for ISO 11799:2016 Standards for Preserving Paper Material Archives Based on Arduino Uno". This innovative tool is designed to detect fluctuations in air humidity in archive storage rooms, especially those made from paper, in accordance with the international standard ISO 11799:2016.

The product dissemination examination event which was held on Tuesday, July 2 2024, was attended by Wike, S.Sos., M.Si., DPA, and Dr. Farida Nurani, S.Sos., M.Si as examining lecturer. Apart from the examining lecturers, Rakha was also accompanied by two supervisors, namely Dr. Drs. Muhammad Shobaruddin, MA, and Endry Putra, SIKom., MIKom. Both of them provided intensive direction and guidance so that Rakha could complete her final assignment well and on time.

The tools made by Rakha have attracted the attention of several private companies and have been ordered in quite large quantities, and are currently undergoing the production process. It is hoped that this tool can make a major contribution to efforts to preserve paper archives.

"Rakha's success not only shows extraordinary academic abilities, but also innovation and creativity in solving real problems faced in archival preservation. "We are very proud of his achievements," said Dr. Mohammad Shobaruddin.

With this success, Rakha Hafish Setiawan has proven that FIA UB students can innovate and make real contributions to wider society. Hopefully Rakha's achievements can be an inspiration for other students to continue working and innovating. (EP)
