PKM Team of FIA Lecturers and Other Faculties Assist in Preparing Pejaten Village Profile

Pejaten Village, a rural community that is fertile and full of potential in Indonesia, has succeeded in carving out new history through community service activities that have produced an innovative village profile. This activity was carried out with the aim of providing in-depth insight into the potential and wealth of the village, and taking concrete steps towards sustainable development.

The Head of Pejaten Village, Jonianto, who is one of the leaders of this project, stated enthusiastically, “This village profile is not just a collection of data. This is a reflection of the identity, uniqueness and potential of Pejaten Village. "Through close collaboration between the community, village government and related parties, we have created guidelines that will guide us in better village development."

Activities began with a preliminary study involving field surveys and interviews with village residents. This data collection process involves the active participation of the community, who enthusiastically convey information about their history, culture, economic potential and aspirations. The expert team then analyzed the data carefully to formulate a comprehensive and accurate village profile.

"The involvement of village residents is very important in every step of this activity," said Jonianto. “Communities are our greatest resource, and involving them in this process adds value to the end result.”

One of the significant achievements of this activity is increasing public awareness about the potential and wealth of Pejaten Village. Village residents are not only objects in the data collection process, but also the main actors in the desired changes.

“We now have a better understanding of the community's needs and expectations,” said Jonianto. "This is the first step to jointly plan a better future for the village."
