Vice Chancellor: SMEs Must Be Ready to Face Global Competition

Share to:

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia are the economic sector that has been the most capable of surviving the storms of crisis in the past. It was also SMEs that at that time saved the Indonesian economy from deeper destruction. However, the enactment of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) can threaten the existence of SMEs that have not been able to compete globally. That topic is the focus of attention of the International Seminar with the title "Enhancing Competitiveness of SMEs in ASEAN“, Tuesday (29/11). This activity was organized by the UKM Study and Development Group (K2PU) Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya (FIA UB) in the Hall of Building A, FIA UB, 4th Floor.

The event was also attended by UB Deputy Chancellor 2 Dr. Shihabuddin MH. The Deputy Chancellor was present to give a speech as well as open the event, representing the Chancellor who was unable to attend at that time.
