Entrepreneurship and Innovation Laboratory or Entrepreneurship and Innovation Lab (Ei Lab) FIA UB held an event Open House from 28 September to 2 October 2015 yesterday. The laboratory, which is located in Building B, 3rd Floor, is open to introduce daily activities and several innovative products that have been produced by its members. In addition, the Ei Lab management also introduced the concept of contemporary business development, namely Business Model Canvas. The business modeling concept initiated by Alexander Osterwalder has now been competed for students around the world. In fact, FIA UB has been officially appointed to be the organizer of the qualifying round at the ASEAN level before the winner competes in the final round which will be held at Harvard University, USA, next year.
Ei Lab has a vision to create and build an entrepreneurial community (entrepreneurs) and thought leaders (thoughts leaders) who desire to create change. While its mission is to produce research and education that advances entrepreneurship, connect, create and inspire students how to create and develop new innovative ventures, as well as create a platform for entrepreneurial interests and activities for students, practitioners and investors.
In accordance with this vision and mission, Ei Lab is not only a place for observing entrepreneurial science, but also a place for direct practice accompanied by experienced mentors from both academics and practitioners. Within this frame of mind, Ei Lab needs to interact intensively and deeply with students, especially to provide information so that students get a real picture of what the goals of the Ei Lab are.
