Education in the present era has undergone major changes when compared to education in the era of our parents. Currently, the development of technology and the internet makes knowledge accessible to anyone, so that the delivery of knowledge is no longer dominated by teachers. Therefore, students in the current era must continue to adapt to technological changes in order to achieve success in the future.
That is a quote from the lecture delivered by Armand Wahyudi Hartono, Vice President of PT. BCA Tbk in the X-Fest event at the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya (FIA UB). The seminar which presented the son of the richest figure no. 1 Indonesia Robert Hartono closed the series of events that were held for three days, from Wednesday (26/10) to Friday (28/10).
Furthermore, Armand conveyed to the hundreds of lecturers and students who attended that students in the current era are required to be more independent in gaining knowledge. For this reason, he also initiated changes to the education and training system for new employees at BCA. "In the past, new employees follow what do we want, now we provide them with learning media on line, and they can study on their own after every working hour,” said Armand.
The X-Fest event itself took place lively in the FIA UB complex. There is an UKM bazaar supported by BCA and Sakuku.com at the FIA UB volleyball court. Meanwhile, seminars on innovation and creativity were held in the 4th Floor of Building A Hall of FIA UB. Among them were Sacha Stevenson, a vlogger and YouTube celebrity.
