UB Badminton Athletes Win Awards

Universitas Brawijaya (UB) Badminton Athletes once again bought up achievements. This time, seven athletes won awards at the 2018 East Java Open Insertion event. Which was held on November 5-10 2018 which took place at Malang State University (UM). They were Achmad Rizallullah (Faculty of Engineering) and Ilham Yudha G (Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences) who respectively won 1st and 3rd place in the Men's Singles category. Furthermore, Achmad Rizallullah (Faculty of Engineering)/Ade Rizky (Faculty of Administrative Sciences) and Naufal Hafiz (Faculty of Administrative Sciences) respectively won 2nd and 3rd place in the men's doubles category. Furthermore, Amalia Meutia/Firda Ayu (Faculty of Social and Political Sciences) won 3rd place in the women's doubles category.

As one of the athletes, Naufal Hafiz admitted that he had prepared for the championship almost a week before the day of the match.

"Physical exercise a little at the UB Sport Center with partners so that they are compact when competing," explained this student of the Public Administration study program, FIA UB.

Furthermore, Ade Rizky explained that the Inersiop East Java Open 2018 event was his last competition before undergoing the final phase of his thesis.

"Yesterday I had a target that in the last tournament I could become a champion, because last year I was also the runner up in the same competition," said the student of Government Science Study Program, FIA UB.

Both Naufal and Ade have won several awards at regional and national badminton-like events.

"For prospective UB athletes, they have to be more diligent in their training and enthusiasm from the athletes so that UB's badminton achievements will increase regionally and nationally," said Naufal
