AUN-QA Visitation for the Public Administration Study Program

Public Administration Study Program (PSIAP) FIA UB starts a visitation schedule to get international accreditation today, Tuesday (23/8). The visitation was carried out by the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) to find out whether the implementation of education at PSIAP and at the same time at FIA UB truly meets international standards at the ASEAN level. On this occasion, AUN-QA was represented by two assessors, namely Assoc.Prof. Chavalit Wongse-ek (Mahidol University, Thailand) and Dr. Julita Robles (De La Salle University, Philippines). During his two day visit to FIA UB, both of them will meet with several parties to ask or clarify the contents of the documents Self-Assessment Report (SAR) that has been prepared by the Team Taskforce established by the Dean.

On this first day, the two assessors spent their time having audiences with faculty leaders consisting of the Dean, Assistant Deans, Head of the Department of Public Administration, and Chair of PSIAP. On this occasion, the Dean presented a brief presentation about the profile of FIA UB which was followed by a question and answer session between the assessors and faculty leaders. After that, successively the two assessors met with lecturers in charge of PSIAP courses, educational staff in FIA UB, and student representatives. After conducting questions and answers with the three parties, the two assessors accompanied by faculty leaders visited several educational facilities in FIA UB.

On the second day, the question and answer session will continue between the two assessors and alumni and stakeholders or graduate users. The plan is for PSIAP to present several alumni who have already made progress at the national and regional levels, such as Prof. Dr. Mas'ud Said (Expert Staff to the Indonesian Minister of Social Affairs) and Dr. Idrus (Regional Secretary of Malang City). While from among stakeholders, PSIAP invites representatives of Bappeda throughout Indonesia as direct users of PSIAP alumni.
