The highlight of the 58th Anniversary of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences (FIA) was successfully held with a lively Healthy Walk, on Sunday (14/10/2018). The event was attended by the UB Rector's Board of Directors, Deans and FIA staff, students and alumni and several companies involved in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in building facilities.
As UB Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Nuhfil Hanani AR., MS., appreciated the performance of FIA during its establishment to serve at Universitas Brawijaya. In line with UB implementing international standards, FIA has implemented this by achieving several study programs that have international accreditation.
“The challenge ahead is that study programs must be of international standard. Besides that, how can the faculty serve other universities, especially outside Java. UB is not for itself, but how can it contribute and provide guidance to those around it," said Prof. Noahfil.
In line with the Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Bambang Supriyono, MS appreciated the enthusiasm of the alumni who always prayed for FIA to become the best Faculty.
"It is time for the FIA to continue to improve quality, both nationally and internationally," he explained.
A healthy walk is complete with morning exercises that are carried out prior to the activity. The event was also decorated with the inauguration of two large FIA UB laboratories, namely the Governance Laboratory under the Department of Public Administration and Business Venturing from the Department of Business Administration. The two laboratories are assistance from Pupuk Kaltim and Pelindo.
"We hope that FIA UB can develop rapidly in terms of business and public administration which is determined by the quality of research results and papers," said the Dean of FIA UB.
The healthy walk was the culmination of the event after the Anniversary celebration activities which were held on Tuesday (18/9/2018) and the Campus Jazz Jamboree which was held the day before the Healthy Walk (13/10/2018). Do not forget the various seminar activities that have been held to enliven the 58th Anniversary of FIA UB.
