Ari Cahya Permata, a Business Administration student class of 2020 who focused on organizing during his college days. Feeling content after 2.5 years of serving at Himabis, the student who is called Aya decided to give up her organizational life and start a graduation bouquet business. It all started at the end of semester 5, Aya felt that it was time for her to retire from organizational activities. And in November 2022, Bluebloom.id was established, an online shop that provides balloon bouquets for graduation. Over time, Bluebloom.id began to add more types of bouquets to bouquets artificial flowers, balloon bouquets, snack bouquets, vases, to bloomboxes. For now, Bluebloom.id relies on Instagram and Whatsapp as sales media.
With a capital of IDR 200,000 from pocket money, Bluebloom.id released its first product, namely a balloon bouquet. Aya never used the profits from her initial sale, because the money was used to capitalize on the next sale. You have to give up a lot of sleep to catch up on orders and school assignments, because Bluebloom currently doesn't have employees. It is a challenge for Aya when a customer orders a product suddenly, let alone asking for the product to be delivered earlier than the agreed time.
With a price range of IDR 15,000 to IDR 250,000, Bluebloom.id can order 10 to 15 bouquets every day. If it's graduation season or other campus activities, orders can be doubled compared to normal days. For now, the product that Bluebloom.id customers are most interested in is the bouquet artificial flowers. In fact, during the graduation season, ordering a bouquet artificial flowers can reach 60 to 80 bouquets, you know!
According to Aya, never start a business because you feel FOMO with other friends. Look for opportunities and do in-depth research. Running a business is not easy, it takes careful preparation. Never forget your obligations as a student, namely studying.
