FIA UB is again holding an FIA UB Strategic Planning Workshop for the 2016-2020 period, Tuesday (20/10). The main agenda in the 3rd Strategic Plan Workshop is to listen to comments from experts, stakeholders, and users. The response from the experts was conveyed by Prof. Dr. Ginandjar Kartasasmita (Professor of Development Administration of FIA UB), Prof. Dr. Umar Nimran, MA (Professor of Business Administration of FIA UB), and Prof. Dr. Sumartono, MS (Professor of Public Administration of FIA UB). As for the users and stakeholders others who also gave their responses were representatives from City/Regency Governments in Malang Raya, the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform, alumni, as well as heads of departments and heads of study programs in FIA UB.
On that occasion, Prof. Ginandjar Kartasasmita highlighted the design of FIA UB's motto which reads "The Home for Future Business and Government Leaders". According to Ginandjar, if FIA UB really wants to set goals as stated in the motto, then this will be a differentiator between this faculty and other faculties. "If other faculties or schools are more comfortable producing managers who can work well, then FIA UB can become a school for the nation's leaders in the future," said the Former Chairman of DPD RI 2004-2009.
