AICoBPA, Event for Sharing Thoughts on Administrative Science Issues

AICoBPA, the Annual International Conference on Business and Public Administration for the first time was held by the Faculty of Administrative Sciences (FIA) Universitas Brawijaya (UB), on Wednesday (28/11). Located in Building A, 4th Floor of FIA UB, the event was held by presenting 150 participants from various countries, including Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, China, Taiwan, Japan and Australia. AICoBPA itself presents speakers from a number of countries, including Prof. Bambang Supriyono, MS. (Brawijaya University, Indonesia); Associate Prof. Benedict Sheefy, Ph. D. (University of Canberra, Australia); Prof. Hitoshi Yonekura (Tohaku University, Japan); Prof. Samrit Yossomsakdi, Ph.D (Burapha University, Thailand); Dr. Kusdi Raharjo, DEA. (Brawijaya University, Indonesia); Prof. Madya Dr. Mohd. Zaidi Abd Rozan (University of Technology Malaysia). The presenters are experts in the field of business administration and public administration.

Oscar Radyan Danar, Ph.D, as the chief executive of AICoBPA, said that the enthusiasm of the participants was very great at the conference.

"In three months, more than 1,000 papers have been submitted and we have selected them," he explained. He also has high hopes for holding the conference as a venue for exchanging ideas on current problems.

Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Bambang Supriyono, MS as the Dean of FIA UB and also the speaker thinks that this conference will provide great benefits because there are many experts in their fields. He added that it was not only administration, but Taxation, Management, Hospitality and Tourism, Finance, Government, and even Political Studies.

"The main objective of the seminar itself is to encourage the [development of] business and public study programs at the international level," said Prof. Bambang.

Bambang stated that administration is a science that also involves many approaches from various disciplines.
