The FIA UB Choir Administration succeeded in making Indonesia proud on the international stage by winning first place in the category folklore and a gold medal in the category folklore as well as mixed choir category in the prestigious "Tokyo International Choir Competition 2024" which took place in Tokyo, Japan, on 25 - 28 July 2024.
“Tokyo International Choir Competition 2024” is one of the prestigious choir competitions in Asia which is attended by 12 countries, namely Japan, Czech Republic, Poland, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Philippines, Latvia, Singapore, Spain, Vietnam and Indonesia. This competition is a forum for choirs from various countries to show the beauty of sound harmony and cultural diversity through traditional songs and modern compositions.
Member of the UB FIA Choir Administration, Salma Aulia Wardhani, said, "This victory is the result of the dedication and hard work of all choir members. We are very grateful and proud to be able to bring home this award for Indonesia. "This is proof that with consistent training and high enthusiasm, we are able to compete and achieve achievements at the world level."
This brilliant victory is clear proof that the members' talent and hard work are able to compete at the world level. This achievement not only makes the alma mater proud, but also inspires the younger generation to continue working and achieving their dreams. The brilliant achievements of the FIA UB Choir Administration in the 2024 Tokyo International Choir Competition cannot be separated from the full support of various parties. This victory is the result of solid teamwork and infinite support.
With this extraordinary achievement, the FIA UB Choir Administration not only brought home an award, but also became an inspiration for other choirs in Indonesia to continue to innovate and pursue achievements on the international stage.
