In the midst of the Dean's Cup event where some of the participants were students, FIA UB lecturers were also enjoying the atmosphere of competition. A total of 25 teams of lecturers from the Department of Public Administration and the Department of Business Administration took part in the research proposal selection held by the Research and Community Service Agency (BPP) Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya (FIA UB), Thursday (8/9). From the competition, 5 teams from each department were entitled to receive a research grant from the faculty in the amount of IDR 30,000,000.00 for each team.
Dean of FIA UB Prof. Dr. Bambang Supriyono, MS in his opening remarks said that the purpose of this activity was to create a competitive atmosphere for lecturers in conducting research without losing the essence of the research activity itself. Apart from that, said the Dean, this activity is also used as a learning platform for lecturers in preparing research proposals because every proposal that comes in will be presented and reviewed by a Reviewer Team appointed by the faculty. "We hope that from the research carried out by ladies and gentlemen, scientific papers will be produced that can be published in reputable international journals, especially those indexed by Scopus and Thomson Reuters," added the Dean.
For one day, all research teams will have their turn to present their proposals in front of the Review Team, namely Prof. Dr. Sumartono, MS., Prof. Dr. Soesilo Zauhar, MS., Dr. Mohammad Nuh, M.Sc., and Prof. Dr. Ahmad Fauzi, MS.
