The Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Administrative Science at Universitas Brawijaya continues to expand its international collaboration through a strategic visit to Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). This initiative underscores both institutions’ commitment to advancing global academic partnerships and enhancing the quality of higher education in the region.
The Universitas Brawijaya (UB) delegation was represented by Dr Agung Nugroho Luthfi Imam Fahrudi, Secretary of the Department of Business Administration, alongside Dr Moh. Said (Vice Dean III for Student Affairs), and Priandhita Sukowidyanti Asmoro. They were warmly welcomed by Prof Dr Mohd Rizal bin Palil, Deputy Dean of Industry and Community Partnerships Affairs at UKM.
During the meeting, both institutions explored a range of potential collaborations, including student exchange programs, joint research initiatives, and international joint publications. These collaborative efforts are expected to enhance academic exposure, foster cross-cultural competencies, and promote impactful research contributions among students and faculty members.
A key highlight of the discussion was the introduction of the Brawijaya International Student Scholarship. The Department of Business Administration at UB formally invited qualified students from UKM to apply for this program, which aims to attract talented international students and strengthen global academic diversity within Universitas Brawijaya.
The discussion also emphasized the importance of building sustainable academic partnerships that extend beyond traditional collaboration. Both parties expressed interest in developing long-term programs that integrate education, research, and community engagement.
This visit forms part of Universitas Brawijaya’s broader initiative to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). By fostering international cooperation, both institutions contribute to improving access to quality education while strengthening global partnerships in higher education.
