Malang, November 20, 2024 — Universitas Brawijaya (UB) held the 2024 UB General Election (Pemira) simultaneously in all faculties including the Faculty of Administrative Sciences. This annual democratic agenda provides an opportunity for all students to elect the President and Vice President of the Student Executive (EM UB) and representatives of the Student Representative Council (DPM UB).
This year's Pemira brings together three pairs of EM UB Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates, namely:
1. Azka Rasyad and Muhammad Ghifari Aulia (Number 1)
2. Yusuf Yuaniar and Nashwa Salsabilla (Number 2)
3. Satria Anugra Pratama and Nazwan Rizqi Prananda (Sequential Number 3)
In addition to the election of the EM UB Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates, students of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences (FIA UB) also elected members of the DPM UB with the following two candidates:
1. Musthafa Ramadhan (Number 1)
2. Muhammad Iqbal Shofa (Number 2)
The election process at FIA UB went smoothly, located in Building E, 7th Floor, Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya with high student enthusiasm. Voters came to the Polling Stations (TPS) to cast their votes while still complying with the applicable rules and procedures. Pemira UB 2024 also received special attention from the Vice Deans III of all faculties of Universitas Brawijaya who visited the TPS in each faculty, including FIA UB. Their presence ensured the smooth running of the voting process and was a form of support for the implementation of an honest, fair, and transparent Pemira.
As an important momentum to foster a spirit of democracy among students, Pemira UB 2024 reflects the active participation of students through a series of processes ranging from campaigns, debates, to elections. All of these stages demonstrate students' commitment in determining the direction of student organization leadership at the university level.
After the vote counting process, Azka Rasyad and Muhammad Ghifari Aulia (Number 1) were officially elected as President and Vice President of EM UB. On the other hand, FIA UB students also elected Muhammad Iqbal Shofa (Number 2) as a member of DPM UB to represent their aspirations.
Pemira UB 2024 is an important momentum in fostering a spirit of democracy among students. All stages, from campaigns, debates, to elections, reflect the active participation of students in determining the direction of student organization leadership at the university level. The elected leaders are expected to be able to bring positive changes and answer the needs of Universitas Brawijaya students.
