Course Structure

The Indonesian language course is a personality development course that aims to instill basic human values through the national language. In particular, the application of good and correct Indonesian in scientific writing (academic writing) in various fields of science is a means of developing science and technology that must be mastered by students. The substance of this course is directed at the experience of learning spoken and written Indonesian in a systematic and logical way through listening, reading, writing and scientific speaking activities. On the technical aspect, this course equips students with the skills to explore ideas (content thought), write logically and systematically (organizational thoughts), write scientific and popular writing styles (style thoughts), as well as realizing scientific and popular writings in their scientific fields (purpose thought). Apart from that, the rules for scientific writing (scientific conventions) in Indonesian were also introduced which were integrated with efforts to form a mindset based on a scientific paradigm.

The Pancasila Education course is a Personality Course that explores and implements the values and wisdom of the archipelago which are crystallized in Pancasila. The substance of this course is directed at building a rational-critical Pancasila paradigm related to student discipline in responding to national-scientific issues, as well as implementing Pancasila values in national and humanitarian realities which are in line with the application of science and technology as a form of intellectual responsibility and moral. The ultimate goal of this course is expected to be able to form individuals with Indonesian character based on the Pancasila value system.

The introductory administration course aims to provide students with knowledge about administration as an instrument for running an organization (company), changes (evolution) to administrative concepts, and how to design an appropriate administrative system. The subject matter of this course includes administrative concepts, organizational (company) governance, administrative flows, administrative processes (planning, organizing, directing, controlling), and managing change. After taking this course, students are expected to be able to explain administrative concepts and their differences compared to management, the evolution of administrative concepts, and administrative processes. Besides that, students are expected to be able to design appropriate administrative systems for organizations and be able to manage the changes that occur.

This course explains business concepts in general which consist of basic principles and contemporary business practices. Besides that, this course conveys issues relevant to the business environment, business ownership, entrepreneurship, corporate governance, marketing and finance. After taking this course, students are expected to be able to explain their understanding of business concepts as a basis for further study of business subjects.

The Political System course is an elective subject in the Business Administration Study Program, Universitas Brawijaya as an effort to develop students' potential in studying business failures caused by the political system, understanding ethics and law, and analyzing company valuations.

This course provides knowledge about the nature of creativity and innovation, provides an understanding of the conditions that stimulate and develop creativity and innovation. Through this course students have the opportunity to develop their creative and innovative powers and gain knowledge about ways to develop them in innovation, in processes and in managing business organizations. After taking this course, students have awareness, knowledge, and the ability to develop creativity and innovation in organizational (business) management.

This course aims to provide more in-depth knowledge and understanding of asset accounts specifically, as a result of one period of the accounting cycle in a business entity, with respect to the measurement, recognition and presentation of asset accounts in the statement of financial position. It contains an understanding and application of Financial Accounting Standards (SAK) for these accounts. This course emphasizes aspects of theoretical understanding and application in solving cases using various case studies.

This course provides the ability for students to understand economic and business concepts and applications, define the meaning of economics and business correctly, know basic economic problems and their solutions, apply economic models and be able to analyze.
