SeshaID – Knight Library Alumni Achievements

On this occasion, the family of the Library Science Study Program of FAS UB is proud one more time because this Ksatria Pustaka alumnus can implement the knowledge gained in college into a benefit for the wider community. The form of scientific implementation carried out is by creating an educational search engine by supporting the preservation of Indonesian cultural heritage. They have a public name through their work, namely SeshaID, developed by a team of knights from the library with members Afib Rif’an Nashruddin, Erlangga Setiya Budi, and Reyhan Kamil.

This search engine innovation started in 2017 with the hope of having a search engine with educational value in it. It was through this dream that the three library knight alumni began their journey with various lengthy researches. Finally, their dream came true on 21st June 2021, with the release of SeshaID to the public. Through SeshaID, they have a vision of “education” which means that every information has educational value and is organized from a reliable source to use it. The uniqueness of SeshaID is that there is preliminary information about Indonesian culture. Of course, this is different from the common Google Doodle. In addition to the SeshaID search engine as a reference for seeking information, this knight library alumnus has also developed another service derived from SeshaID. The derivative service referred to by Afib is OneGLAM as one of the hosting services to serve the technology infrastructure in the Gallery, Library, Archive, and Museums.

Afib, Erlangga, and Rayhan, as a solid team of alumni of Library Science FAS ​​UB, have a common goal through SeshaID: to provide quality and accountable information services. In addition, they hope that various groups can use SeshaID without any level and age restrictions. The Big Family of Library Science is proud of alumni who can innovate and implement their knowledge and bring various benefits to the community.
