a. Lecture
Teaching staff are educators in this case referred to as lecturers. In accordance with Article 1(2) of Law No. 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers, lecturers are professional educators and scientists with the main task of transforming, developing, and disseminating science, technology, and art through education, research and community service. At the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, lecturers are divided into 3 types, namely permanent civil servant lecturers, permanent non-civil servant lecturers, and lecturers with work agreements. Permanent civil servant lecturers and permanent non-civil servant lecturers are lecturers who work full time. Lecturers with work agreements are lecturers who are recruited with a minimum work agreement of 2 (two) years and can be extended as needed. Recruitment for permanent civil servant lecturers is carried out under the coordination of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Higher Education.
In general, every lecturer in a study program has rights and obligations regulated in the regulations. The Rights and Obligations of Non-PNS Permanent Lecturers are regulated in the Regulation of the Chancellor of Brawijaya University Number 483 of 2013 concerning Non-Civil Servant Permanent Lecturers of Brawijaya University. The rights and obligations of Lecturers with work agreements are regulated in the Regulation of the Chancellor of Brawijaya University Number 38 of 2016 concerning the Appointment and Dismissal of Lecturers with work agreements originating from retired lecturers and professional staff outside Brawijaya University.
b. Education Staff
Educational personnel are members of the community who dedicate themselves and are appointed to support the implementation of education. Educational personnel in the faculty of administrative science are divided into 3 types, namely civil servant educational personnel, non-civil servant educational personnel and contract educational personnel. Civil servant educational personnel and non-civil servant educational personnel are educational personnel who work full time.
