The Faculty of Administrative Sciences (FIA) for four days, Monday-Thursday (6-9/2/2023) underwent the accreditation process from AQAS (Agency for Quality Assurance by Accreditation of Study Programs). AQAS itself is an independent study program quality assurance institution based in Germany. This institution is one of the international accreditations recognized by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education. There are seven FIA study programs that follow the accreditation process namely Business Administration Study Program, Public Administration Study Program, Public Administration Study Program, Taxation Study Program, Tourism Tourism Study Program, Business Administration Study Program, Public Administration Study Program, Administrative Science Doctoral Program.
The team of assessors who carried out the assessment, namely Prof. Dr. Jens Müller, Professor for Business Administration, especially corporate taxation, University of Paderborn/Deutschland; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Noor Ismawati Jaafar, Faculty of Business and Economics, Department of Management, University of Malaya/Malaysia; Prof. Dr. Nicole Küchler-Stahn, Public and Nonprofit Management as well as Public Governance at the University of Applied Sciences in Berlin; Prof. Dr. Werner Gronau, Professor for Tourism, Travel and Transport, University of Applied Sciences Stralsund/Deutschland; Dr. Jörg Habich, Expert for Leadership and Corporate Culture, Bertelsmann Foundation/Deutschland (labor market representative); Luc Zettl, Student of Economics, Law and Social Sciences, University of Erfurt/Deutschland (student representative). Accompanied by AQAS consultants SarahTypechewski and Lucagulungich.
Prof. Dr. Jens Müller expressed his appreciation for the preparations made by the faculty in the form of feed back, documents prepared as well as lecturers who assist during the accreditation process. He also conveyed input to the FIA including regarding quality assurance of study programs.
Meanwhile the Chancellor Prof. Widodo, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D.Med.Sc. said that in the closing session, Thursday (9/2/2023) on the 8th floor of the Rectorate Building, he would pay attention to input from AQAS for UB's improvement. He hopes there will be good results for the accreditation process that has been carried out by the FIA.
