Business Administration Study Program Expands International Footprint with Khon Kaen University Thailand

The Business Administration Study Program recently conducted a collaborative visit to Khon Kaen Business School, Khon Kaen University, Thailand, which also included the signing of a cooperation MoU. The visit took place from 1 to 4 October 2024. This visit was held with the aim of expanding the international network of the FIA UB Business Administration Study Program and exploring opportunities for strategic academic and non-academic collaboration in the future.

The MoU signed between the Business Administration Study Program of FIA UB and Khon Kaen Business School, Thailand, includes joint research collaboration and student exchange programs. This collaboration opens opportunities for researchers from both institutions to collaborate on various research projects. In addition, students from both parties can participate in exchange programs that enrich cross-cultural experiences, expand international networks, and develop academic and practical skills that are relevant to the needs of the global industry.

A warm welcome was given by Prof. Drs. Andy Fefta Wijaya, MDA., Ph.D, as the Dean of FIA UB. This activity was also enthusiastically welcomed by Asst. Prof. Pongsutti Phuensane, Ph.D., Dean of Khon Kaen Business School, who expressed his full support and enthusiasm for various collaborative initiatives. The visit agenda was continued with presentations from both institutions introducing the advantages, programs, and aspirations of the institutions. Then held campus tour to provide first-hand experience of the facilities available at Khon Kaen Business School, as well as opening upmore in-depth discussion regarding joint research opportunities and student exchange programs.

The group from Universitas Brawijaya was also invited to visit several student activities at Khon Kaen Business School. Students there have various activities that support the development of academic and non-academic competencies, such as entrepreneurship programs and business discussion clubs. A visit was also made to the cafe business unit owned by Khon Kaen Business School. This cafe is managed by students majoring in business, giving them real experience in managing a retail business, including product development, marketing, and financial management.
