Aslam Fataar is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Education Policy Studies at Stellenbosch University in Cape Town. He specialises in the areas of Sociology of Education and Education Policy. He has published more than 200 academic articles, book chapters, and opinion pieces. He published three books which are: 1) Education Policy Development in South Africa’s Democratic Transition, 1994-1997 (2011) 2) Engaging Schooling Subjectivities across the Post-Apartheid City (2015), and 3) The education practices and pathways of South African students across power-marginalised regions (editor, 2018). He also published five co-edited books. He is the outgoing President of the South African Education Research Association and the former Editor-in-Chief of the journal, Southern African Education Review. His current book is, Searching for Islamic Ethical Agency in Post-Apartheid Cape Town (Africa Sun Media Press: Stellenbosch).  He won three awards for three of his published articles and two awards in recognition of his educational scholarship from the Education Association of South Africa.

Saseendran Pallikadavath is a Professor of Demography and Global Health at the University of Portsmouth. He has previously been involved in the fertility strand of the Center for Population Change.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kalev Sepp is a professor and head of the Department of Environmental Protection and Landscape at the Estonian University of Life Sciences. He lectures on nature conservation, landscape ecology and analyzes environmental management. Kalev is the head of Ph.D. studies on environmental science and applied biology and is the head of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. He was a Vice-President of the International Union for Nature Conservation (IUCN), an elected Councillor of IUCN (2004-2012), and a Horizon 2020 Programme Committee member for Environment, including climate change in Brussels. Kalev belongs to the Expert Commission of applied research projects at the Ministry of Rural Affairs, a member of the Scientific Council of the Estonian Ministry of the Environment.

 

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Corrienna binti Abdul Talib is a senior lecturer in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Skudai Johor. She is from the Department of Educational Sciences, Mathematics, and Creative Multimedia, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. She was born and raised in Kajang, Selangor. Dr. Corrienna received her primary education in SK Convent Kajang and continued her studies at SMK Agama Persekutuan (SMAP) Kajang. Then, she received her bachelor in Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 1998. Her education journey stopped for a while as she pursued her passion for being an elementary school teacher at SMK Tat Beng and SMK Tengku Menteri in Perak. Nevertheless, she retired from being a secondary school teacher and embarked on her mission to continue her studies at Universiti Sains Malaysia for a Master’s and PhD while working at SEAMEO RECSAM, Penang. Her deep passion is in STEAM education, environmental sustainability, thinking skills, assessment, as well as technology and innovation. She has been invited as a keynote and plenary speaker, facilitator, and trainer locally and internationally. She develops and participates in numerous projects, seminars, workshops, conferences, and talks to create a technology-thinking community among teachers and students. In fact, she has won multiple awards and a 5-star rating project with continuous support from her family and friends. In the future, Dr. Corrienna hopes to make great contributions in her area of interest as well as through her projects, MyGambot and Scratchtopia Challenge, to enhance critical thinking skills, collaboration, communication, and creative thinking skills.

Moises Neil V. Seriño is a professor of the Department of Economics, Visayas State University, Visca, Baybay City, Leyte, Philippines. He earned his doctorate degree in economics at the University of Göttingen, Germany in 2014. He was a visiting research fellow at the Center for Southeast Asian Studies, Kyoto University in 2019. He is currently the director of the Visayas Socio-Economic Research and Data Analytics Center and the dean of the College of Management and Economics, Visayas State University. His research interests include development economics, climate change, agricultural economics, environmental conservation and sustainable development.

 

 

Dr. Drs. Fadillah Amin, MAP, Ph.D. was born in Batu City, East Java, completed his undergraduate studies at the Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Administrative Science (FIA), Universitas Brawijaya in 1992, then pursued Strata 2 (Master) studies at the Brawijaya University Postgraduate Program (PPSUB), Department of Public Administration with Specialization in Regional Finance, graduated in 2004. Furthermore, the author took Strata 3 (Doctoral) studies at the Doctor of Administrative Sciences Program (PDIA) FIA UB which was completed in 2011. After completing his doctoral studies in the country, the author took another S-3 study at the Department of Politics and Public Policy, Flinders University, Australia, which was completed in 2014.

Currently the author is a permanent lecturer at the Faculty of Administrative Science who teaches in undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs at FIA UB. In addition to teaching, the author is also active in conducting research and community service, especially those related to the author’s interests and specializations, namely in the fields of state finance, regional finance, village finance, budgeting for central and regional government agencies, national and regional development policies and planning, and related themes.
