Happy faces were seen on hundreds of participants in a healthy walkathon of Faculty of Administrative Sciences Universitas Brawijaya (FIA UB) on Sunday (16/10). The activity was one of the series of FIA Fun Day 2011 in the 51thAnniversary of FIA UB. The event which was attended by alumni from all FIA generations was an excellent relationship between alumni, college nostalgia, entertainment and gathering. This event was also attended by lecturers and employees of FIA.
Healthy walkathon was conducted around the campus of UB. The event was enlivened by kulintang performance from the members of Dharma Wanita (the civil servants wives association) FIA UB, band performances, gamelan/musicians, as well as the distribution of door prizes. In the event, there was also carried out awards to the winners of sports competitions in commemoration of 51th Anniversary of FIA UB, which has been implemented on 23 September to 14 October 2011 by the Dean of FIA, Prof. Dr. Sumartono, MS.
Here are the winners of the series of matches, the first champion in double tennis match is Suryatmojo and Ngatawi. The second champion is Drs. Heru Ribawanto, MS, and Drs. Huzaini, MAB, and the third champion is Drs. Mintohadi, M.Si and Sukaryono. For a single table tennis match, the first champion is Zaky Bachtiar, second champion is Suswanto Heru, and third is Dr. Luqman Hakim, M.Sc. In doubles badminton matches, the first winner is Heru Siswanto and Suklisno, the second is Dr. Topowijono, M.Si and M. Noah, S.IP, M.Si, the third is Ma’ruf and Sunaryono. While the volleyball match is won by the lecturers and employees team against the students team of FIA.
This anniversary month of FIA UB is done in various series of events, including blood donor, a visit to orphanage, competition of students‘ scientific work, national seminar of Public Administration Department, English debate competition, and national seminar of Business Administration Department.
