The Library Science Study Program is one of the study programs under the Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Brawijaya University. This study program studies how to collect, analyze, process, manage, and communicate information, library materials, and archives from various media. The profile of graduates of the Library Science Study Program is as Librarians, Information Managers, and Archivists/Record Managers competent and knowledgeable.

The curriculum of the Library Science Study Program FIA UB includes various courses designed to provide an in-depth understanding of information and library management. Students study basic courses such as introduction to library science, archive and document management, information literacy, and the application of information technology in libraries. In addition, there are special courses that discuss digital library management, collection development, preservation of library materials, and various topics relevant to the development of libraries and information in the digital era.

Graduates of this program have very broad career opportunities in various sectors, both in government agencies, education, and private companies. They can work as librarians in public libraries, schools, universities, and become information and documentation specialists in government agencies, companies, or non-profit organizations. In addition, graduates can also develop careers as archive managers, information consultants, and library information system developers, which are increasingly needed in today's digital era.
