Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh green banking dan
corporate governance terhadap company value dengan competitive advantage
sebagai variabel mediasi. Metodologi penelitian ini merupakan explanatory
research dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 41 Bank
Umum Konvensional yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) selama periode
2017-2022. Data diperoleh dari laporan tahunan dan keuangan bank. Teknik
pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian
menunjukkan bahwa green banking berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap
competitive advantage, mendukung teori Resource-Based View (RBV) dan
penelitian sebelumnya. Corporate governance juga berpengaruh signifikan positif
terhadap competitive advantage, mendukung teori Legitimasi dan temuan
penelitian sebelumnya. Selain itu, green banking berpengaruh signifikan positif
terhadap nilai perusahaan, sesuai dengan teori Agency. Corporate governance
berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap nilai perusahaan, juga sesuai dengan teori
Agency. Terakhir, competitive advantage berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap
nilai perusahaan, mendukung teori Signaling. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini
menegaskan pentingnya green banking dan corporate governance dalam
meningkatkan competitive advantage dan nilai perusahaan di sektor perbankan.
Green banking dan corporate governance yang efektif dapat meningkatkan
reputasi, kepercayaan publik, dan kinerja keuangan bank.
Penelitian ini memberikan beberapa saran untuk perusahaan dan penelitian
selanjutnya. Untuk perusahaan, disarankan untuk meningkatkan komitmen
terhadap praktik green banking, memperkuat struktur dan mekanisme corporate
governance, fokus pada pengembangan strategi untuk mengoptimalkan
competitive advantage, serta melakukan evaluasi menyeluruh terhadap faktorfaktor yang mendukung peningkatan nilai perusahaan. Untuk penelitian
selanjutnya, disarankan untuk melibatkan lebih banyak bank dan memperpanjang
rentang waktu pengamatan, menambahkan variabel tambahan seperti inovasi
teknologi dan kondisi ekonomi global, serta membandingkan dengan bank syariah
untuk melihat perbedaan dampak green banking dan corporate governance.
Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam memahami bagaimana green
banking dan corporate governance dapat menciptakan competitive advantage dan
meningkatkan nilai perusahaan di sektor perbankan.

This study aims to analyze the influence of green banking and corporate
governance on company value with competitive advantage as a mediating
variable.The research methodology is explanatory research using a quantitative
approach. The research sample consists of 41 conventional banks listed on the
Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2017-2022 period. Data were obtained
from annual reports and financial statements of the banks. The sampling technique
used is purposive sampling.The research findings indicate that green banking has
a significant positive effect on competitive advantage, supporting the ResourceBased View (RBV) theory and previous research. Corporate governance also has
a significant positive effect on competitive advantage, supporting Legitimacy
theory and previous findings. Additionally, green banking has a significant positive
effect on company value, in line with Agency theory. Corporate governance also
has a significant positive effect on company value, consistent with Agency theory.
Lastly, competitive advantage has a significant positive effect on company value,
supporting Signaling theory.The conclusion of this study emphasizes the
importance of green banking and corporate governance in enhancing competitive
advantage and company value in the banking sector. Effective green banking and
corporate governance can improve reputation, public trust, and financial
performance of banks.
The study provides several recommendations for companies and future
research. For companies, it is suggested to increase commitment to green banking
practices, strengthen the structure and mechanisms of corporate governance,
focus on developing strategies to optimize competitive advantage, and conduct
comprehensive evaluations of factors supporting the enhancement of company
value. For future research, it is recommended to involve more banks and extend
the observation period, add additional variables such as technological innovation
and global economic conditions, and compare with Islamic banks to observe the
differences in the impact of green banking and corporate governance. This
research contributes significantly to understanding how green banking and
corporate governance can create competitive advantage and improve company
value in the banking sector
