The high demand of land for housing and industrial can threatned the existance of productive agriculture land. The phenomenom of agricultural land conversion also struck in the most famous island in Indonesia, Bali. As a part of Bali, Gianyar Regency also experiences the massive paddy field conversion. In 2017, Gianyar regency is known as one of the rice barns in. Moreover, in 2018, Gianyar is included in three regencies that have the highest Food Security Index (IKP) scores in Indonesia besides Tabanan and Badung regencies. Therefore, the intervention from government, especially from local govermment is needed control the paddy field conversion in order to maintain the availability of food production. One the government interventions is in the form of spatial planning policy implementation.
