Predicting IT Governance Performance: A Method for Models-Based Decision Making
Contemporary enterprises are largely dependent on information technology (IT), which make decision making on IT matters important. There are numerous issues tha confuse IT decision making, including contradictive business need financial constraints lack of communication between business and IT stakeholders and difficult in understanding the often heterogeneous and integrated IT system. The discipline of IT governance aims at providing the decision making structures, processes and relation machanisms needen in order for IT to support and perpectuate the business. The adjacent discipline of enterprises architecture provides a broad range of framework and tool for model-based management of IT. Enterprises architecture as a commondly an successfully used approach, but the framework need to be adopted with respect to the concern at stake in order to become truly useful. The contribution of this thesis is a method for models-based IT governance decisions making. The method includes a metamodels. The method also allow prediction of IT governance performance.
