This study is designed to analyze the development of the electronics industry in Indonesia with perspective of the develpment state theoriststs and its revealded comparative advantage position. To analuyze the role of state in the electronics industry development, the study describes and explores how the Indonesian electronic industry has been developed and evaluates the dynamics of governement policies and regulations to support the electronics industry. While for assessing the competitiveness of the Indonesian electronic industry in the world market, the study employs revealed comparative advantagge 9RCA) method. In addition, based on the findings of these two issues, the study identifies the necessary policies to be introduced to further support the electronic industry.
