AVISOC 2022 is the 2nd<\/sup> installment of ASEAN-wide competition that challenges university students to express their best opinion on world issues in the form of article or poster. This competition is held by Faculty of Administrative Science at Universitas Brawijaya (Indonesia), co-organized by Universiti Utara Malaysia (Malaysia) and Burapha University (Thailand), South East Asian Ministers of Education (SEAMEO) Secretariat, and Tarlac Agricultural University (Philippines).<\/p>\n

AVISOC 2022 holds 3 (three) divisions for concerned participants to choose:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Opinion Article Division.<\/li>\n
  2. Poster Division.<\/li>\n
  3. Photography Contest Division.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \n

    The description of each division will be provided in the next sections. Select one division that best suits with your interest as one student can only participate in one division at a time.<\/p>\n

    Eligible to register as participants are undergraduate\/bachelor\u2019s degree\/Sarjana<\/em>\u2019s (Indonesian) degree\/diploma degree students from universities across South East Asian countries. Their active status as student will be acknowledged by attaching a photo of their Student ID during the registration process.<\/p>\n

    \n

    The winners of AVISOC 2022 will receive several prizes, including fresh money and international award certificate. Other participants will receive certificate of participation.     1. Description<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      An Opinion is an article, usually published in a newspaper or magazine, that mainly reflects the author’s opinion about a subject. It aims to explain to the reader the author\u2019s perspective on a certain issue. The perspective can be analytical or persuasive. An example of Opinion can be seen here from The Jakarta Post: https:\/\/www.thejakartapost.com\/academia\/opinion<\/a>.<\/p>\n

      1. Choice of Issues<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Participants of Opinion Article Competition may choose one issue that is of best interest to them. For each issue, the AVISOC Committee will take best three articles to be the winners. Therefore, in total, there will be 15 winners for this division. The issues to choose is the following:<\/p>\n

        1. Issues in educational practices and management.<\/li>\n
        2. Issues in business administration.<\/li>\n
        3. Issues in taxation, accounting, and finance.<\/li>\n
        4. Issues in public administration, public policy, politics, and social trends.<\/li>\n
        5. Issues in digital literacy and information and technology.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
