This research aims to analyze how is the actual impact of a national "ship-sinking policy" at the local level, particularly in the border area, which is Sebatik. It is due to maritime border zone is the entrance to the threat to Indonesia maritime security. A single case study was used to explore and analyze the impact of the ship sinking policy in term of social and economic aspects in Sebatik Island.
