Improving rice productive needs concrete effort such as proviving quality seeds,. Good productivity could reach if farmers used quality seeds. One of thr agriclture programs toward food security in Indonesia is the self-sufficient seeds village program. The purpose of this program is to grow of group breeders or a combinattion of breeder groups which are able to provide seed to meet the demands of seeds in their villge. This study describes the evaluation of self-sufficiant seed village program in Mempawah Regancy, West Kalimantan. The objectiveof this study is to understand the implementation of self-sufficiant seed village program and how the program is work on research area. The study was conducted with direct observation and interview to the rice farmers in 6 village in Mempawah Regancy. Repondent were composed of participat and non-participants farmers of the Self sufficient seed village program.
